Hi all, I am so tired an 18 years relationship that is now a constant abuse... I have 3 children and I know they are suffering and he is now really enough! I don't know what to do as he is alone here in my country and his mum and dad are dead. His sister is lovely with my husband however I am sure she will never help him as she is serene now, without his tantrum. I am alone and feel guilty as he has no income at the moment, he won't even look for a job. He hate all my family that put up with him all these years... I am in a very bad shape any support would be great thank you so much

Hi Vita00,

I know how hard a relationship can be when it is international! As hard as it is, as hard as it may be on him, you don't have to stay with him to protect him from the consequences of a divorce. (I feel this urge sometimes myself. To stay to make it easier for him, forgetting my life and happiness in the process.)

Are you being physically abused? Emotionally? Both? Are the kids safe?

Do you have income, any sources of other support?

take care, pearl.

Hi Vita00 and let me join pearlsw in welcoming you. That sounds like an incredibly difficult situation. You are not alone.

Like you and pearlsw am I also in an international relationship (except I've lived in her country for 12 years), so I know that adds a whole other layer of challenge.

Please do let us know more about the level of abuse and the age / situation of your children. Safety, whether it is physical or emotional, is always the first concern in these situations.

Yrs,

First of all, welcome, and I am glad you are looking for answers, Vita00.

Being with a partner can be very overwhelming.  Can you give more details?
