My W will lie about anything to avoid any remote feeling of shame or guilt... anything.

Are you able to envisage what your life might look like out of this relationship? A realistic one not clouded by too much emotion. Have you explored that? I did and I actually got pretty excited about the idea, apart from the lower level of contact with my 3 kids.
