My sibling has severe BPD. She literally has sucked all my will and desire and energy.
I feel held hostage by her emotions.
I feel my life has been hijacked and I can't take another minute of the emotional abuse and energy sucking.

It's tired me out to no end...

Oh sweetie. Yes, sometimes it's like having one of those dementors from Harry Potter sucking the joy and goodness out of you and the family.

You don't say how old you are (or how old your sibling is), if this is a constant state of affairs, if you have talked to anyone in your family.

How do you separate from your sibling: physically - sport, groups of friends? and emotionally - reading, studying (with the door firmly closed)?

Have you/how do you set boundaries with your sibling?

We'd like to help! Please give us some more info to go on!

Hi Way Out,

I'd like to join mamabolivia and welcome you to the BPD Family  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

I'm sorry you are struggling with your sibling we all get it here every person here has someone in their lives with BPD/BPD Traits.

Can you expand on your story a bit? Are you both living at home, are your parents in the picture, are you living together outside your family home, or do you live separately?  Has your sibling been diagnosed with BPD?  Have any of you (you, sibling, parents, family) tried Therapy?  Have you done any reading about BPD? What kinds of behaviors are you finding most difficult to deal with at the moment?

Okay that's the end of the Panda's 20 questions   I'm just trying to get more of a feel for what your situation is so we can better help you.

I'm glad you decided to jump in and post and I look forward to hearing more of your story.

Take Care,
Panda
