And yes, I see fear in him with regard to finances.  Of all the things we have argued about over the years, we have never argued over money.  He has told me I am spending too much money, etc.  This is after him retiring too early and me still working.  If he could just get a job, it would at least give him something to occupy his mind.  Right now he doing some volunteering, but this is not what he needs to fill himself. 

And yes, losing the structure of work and the accolades he got from work, he has nowhere to go by his dark and troubled mind.  He has been lashing out at me during the last year and a half.
