My dad died almost 4 years ago. He was 83 and my mom has never been on her own. I had been on my own 30 years and have been through enough therapy that I have a handle on mom is never going to be a mother. Mom is pretty active and mentally there for an 83 year old, so when my brother started talking about an apartment or a nursing home for her right after dad died I didn't think she should be in a home and I really didn't think she would be ok in an apartment so I offered to move in with her. I've been there since. I never realized she was a narcissist until I moved back in with her. I'm a lot stronger now than I used to be. Therapy helped me to see that I am a good person and strong and God showed me I'm lovable.

I am doing good. I just was kind of looking for any kind of information I can get so I signed up. And I'm sure you all know how good it is to know you are not alone in this mess. And I'm not even sure how bad she is or even if it is narcissism.

Have you checked out our Lessons section at the top of the board?  Or the survivors guide?

We also have a Library section listed on the main board.  So much to read and talk about here.

Is there something specific you are looking for?
