Well done.  Let him know as soon as you buy your flight.  He may genuinely feel like moving out now.  By the end of the week, he may feel differently.  Be predictable, and let him come to you rather than pursuing.  Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Ok I’ll try. I know that he’ll probably be gone by the time I get back. Usually when he becomes this way there’s no changing that. I’m trying not to hope that he’ll be there and mentally prepare for it instead
