I left my husband. He accepted it but we are in a tricky situation. He is staying with his grandparents atm. I dont know if its good though, they are all caught in vicious cycle of abuse.
I told him I do want to be his friend, we have to co parent three little boys, I cant just cut him off.
He accepts that but then will ask me for a kiss.
And i say no, friends dont kiss! Leave if you're gonna be like that. He will back off, we will talk, then he will say: Can I still be your man? Do I have a chance in the future if I get well?
And i hate those questions. I Said right now, No i can not see us as a couple ever again. He will back off, start talking then ask can I have a hug as a friend? And I will say yes cause I will always hug my friends. Im just wary that he underdstands we are not getting back together. im just trying to not let this breakup affect our kids too much. I truly want him as a friend, we will always be in eachothers life due to our kids. I see alot of breakups go ugly here, alot of people go non contact, which I can understand, but I dont want that.

And i hate those questions. I Said right now, No i can not see us as a couple ever again. He will back off,

he has hope.

to some extent, if you are saying "right now, no", he may continue to harbor hope.

what about you? do you have hope, or are you truly done?
