this came to me-
When the song of love starts playing,
her record repeats
on a scratch-
that reads
He's gonna leave you, he's gonna leave you, he's gonna leave

Hi
Steps
,
I hope your teeth got really clean! If the record kept hitting that scratch, you may have been brushing for a while.
What do you think this means for you, this meaning of the lyrics?

Hey Wools!
It wasn't my record that kept looping, otherwise I'd be ruminating...
What this means for me is that she is fine and dandy, until the idea of romance enters her life, and when it does, she keeps getting stuck on this injury (the scratch) where the main idea in her head is that her partner wants to leave her. It keeps replaying over and over in her thoughts...
