Hi I am new to this.  I am a 49 year old daughter of a PBD mother.  I am at the end of my rope and looking for help.  I do see a therapist now for this.  Thanks

Hi Lucy2020 Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

Welcome to our BPDfamily.  We don't share DNA here, but we share the experience of having a BPD family member.  For me, it's an important family to have, and I'm super grateful to have found this site.

I am 57, an only child, and live in the same town as my uBPD mom, who lives independently (with a whole lot of help from myself and H that she expects and doesn't appreciate).

I have had a few short periods of NC (when I needed time to feel emotionally safe again), and more recently, more periods of LC (for the same reason).  My mom is 83 and is physically frail, mostly through her own bad decision making throughout her life.

No one in my community knows she is BPD, and she has many social friends who have known her to be fun and charismatic.  To me, she has had periods of being a good mother, and periods of being very much not a good mother.

I found this site last July when I was at the end of my rope.  It can get better.

I'm glad you found our site.  Again, welcome  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)
