my sister and her DV

Hi qawll its been a long time.. My sister has taken complete control over my parents welfare and finances. I had financial power of attorney and she dragged then age 90 and 85 to her local solicitor and got it revoked... I am gather information on what to do both legally and mentally and we ( my three kids and hub are going to have a family meeting to decide what to do..

She has decided that may communication is to be to her boyfriend who I have met for three hours.. She has found her stooge .

Meanwhile I helped a mate who had been in DV and we did all the court stuff post separation.
it just occurred to me that my sister has the same behaviour as  DV perp. she has never hit but she has used every opportunity to take swings that punch me to the very soul   and now her prize possession of punishment is my parents who at now 9i1 and 86 are so exploited by her that there is no coming back.

I am going to have to put the stop on the personal attacks on me and the fact that she makes it about me in order to get what she wants...How does one steel ones self when this comes up.

That sounds really contentious. I’m sorry you have been put in this situation.

I’m curious, are there any signs of elder abuse, such as taking advantage of them financially. I think it’s important to keep the conversation on the welfare of your parents. The new boyfriend no matter his temperament, shouldn’t have a role in these conversations.

That’s my opinion anyway.

Elder care advocates in your area's social services division can assist with elder abuse situarions. Absolutely, you should enlist their help.
