Hi. Never blogged before so bear with me. My 19 year old daughter was just diagnosed and I'm looking for ways to help her and our family.  Love her and very scared.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Welcome! You are among kindred spirits here.  Take a look around the forum.  Look at the pull down menus at the top of the page.  I would like to suggest by helping yourself , you are helping your daughter!  Keep writing in as you have need. We are here for you.

To echo the far-more-experienced Swimmy - welcome!

My first time logging on here, just reading through other posts made me feel much better. Much less alone.

My suggestion is to write a post or two with some of your experiences. I think you'll find the responses you get will let you know that you are not the only one going through this, and that others have similar stories. Other responses will have real-life-based tips and anecdotes which may help you, or least help you think through your own situations.
