Hello again everyone..
I have been married for 2 years to my husband who I suspect has undiagnosed BPD. We have had some mighty battles, and have been physically separated for the last year, due to these battles. When we first separated, he had behaved in a way that made me truly, honestly believe that we were going to get a divorce. I removed him from my health insurance plan for that reason, as we weren't even speaking and there was a protection order in place to protect me from his behavior.
Fast forward a year. I have been in weekly therapy, doing EMDR for trauma. And husband and I are considering reconciling and me moving back into our home. He has been doing some reading of books that I have laying around about BPD. He read "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" and he thinks that the symptoms sound a whole lot like him, and what goes on in his mind. Thank goodness for that. Now... he has been uninsured and would like to find a diagnosis, help and DBT if necessary.
Which direction should I point him in for the uninsured. I can't put him back on my plan until the first of Jan 2022.
Does anyone have any ideas in this group? is there any hope?
