Hello all. Just found Out from a Therapist that my wife has BpD. Was advised to set boundaries. So for instance I told my therapist that Im tired of having no money and I was going to talk it over with my wife. my therapist said Just do what you need to to secure your money set the boundary and don't rely on your wife to be responsable with money.
Lately or the last five years my wife has had her account and I've had Ours. " I know I've been a tool.  my question is, can any BPD person handle money? Also how do you set boundaries with your BPD loved ones? MY user name is don't Care because Im Setting boundaries to make me happy and less likley to be controled and my wife Can think What ever she wants about it and Oh well,I don't Care. Otherwise When trying to reason I get hurt.

My dbpd wife can’t handle money at all. The UK government and financial institutions are the worst because you can get into thousands £££s of debt without even having a job, the government will wipe most of your debt when you tell them you don’t work and your wife can only afford to repay £1 each month of your debt. The most stupid thing is that whilst you’re in this so called “arrangement” you can still apply for and get granted more credit and get into further debt. I absolutely despair of this stupid system. About time the government and banks set better boundaries… Good luck with it all anyway.
