Before you can make things better, you have to stop making them worse... Have you considered that being critical, judgmental, or invalidating toward the other parent, no matter what she or he just did will only make matters worse? Someone has to be do something. This means finding the motivation to stop making things worse, learning how to interrupt your own negative responses, body language, facial expressions, voice tone, and learning how to inhibit your urges to do things that you later realize are contributing to the tensions.

I'm having the "it's all just my imagination" moments tonight.

I feel like I'm fighting a ghost again, my exgf was very inappropriate yesterday but today has transformed into the sweet little girl I can kinda like and admire.

It is like I'm the one who's lost touch with reality and she's just fine. Lol

I really dislike these moments when I cannot trust my instincts and rely on facts. I may want so desperately to believe she's finally well that I do slip into an unreal state of thinking.

Oh well, I do KNOW one thing, talking to her or being around her I always end up puzzled and confused. Like watching a foreign movie with no English subtitles, I'm interested but I will be damned if I know what's really going on. Do I sit through the whole movie and stay confused or do I walk out and focus my attention on something I can grasp.

I did walk out, I just cannot escape her as long as we share our son.

Blah blah blah blah blah.
