Hi mase46,

I'd like to join

livednlearned and welcome you to bpdfamily. I notice that you're bring careful about bringing up mental illness to your partner. There's a good reason, if we turn the telescope the other way around and someone told us that we're mentally ill, we might be offended, reject it, accuse the person telling us that we're mentally ill that they're mentally ill or feeling like its an accusation. That sounds grim and there's probably room in there for acceptance and that depends on the individual, do they sense that there's something off with them, are they self aware, do they generally have awareness, do they feel like they can share their illness with others and feel supported.
Her reality is as real to her as yours is to you, what she knows, what she filters and what she interprets is her benchmark for her reality. I hope that helps.
