Most of the time, I get to choose what kind of contact I have with my family members with BPD and NPD. I always have a choice on how I respond to the contact.

Some days are better than others. When I feel the occasional sadness and anger towards how cruel my mother and siblings with BPD and NPD can be towards me and others, I take the high road: I let myself be vulnerable and cry. I let the moment pass and then I go on being the best person I can be, and continue to do my best to treat myself and others with kindness and compassion.

Wow! This is incredible recovery, thank you for sharing
I am dedicated to my recovery. I can use everything that is happening in my life as an opportunity to learn, heal and grow. I am grateful for this opportunity to become better than I was the day before. I have my eye on the goal.

I am unbreakable, in spirit.
My NPD bro can break bones, but he never and I mean never, broke my sprite. Although it was a close call on a couple of occasions. Never blink, never show weakness, never get wound up, never back down and never throw the first punch. Since age 14 I’ve not been in a fight despite being brought up in a rough area. The trick is to move to a nice area and not tell your NPD relatives. Oh, and use humour to defuse the tension.

#MyResilientHeart Positive I statement - Just for today I shall be Happy!
Lyrics - "Hey, what's happened to our lives? When did you and me forget how to have a good time? Hey, we got to make some time for the stuff that you can't buy And get a life 'cos you know all that serious stuff ain't no fun Who says you can't be happy all the time? I know but I'm still gonna try."

I helped my family come to realize my sister's BPD diagnosis and it can help us all move forward together.
Thank you for the positive, its hard to remember it is there with so much negative.

. We need to be
positive
, I'm positive it will rain later (I'm in England) but that the sun will alway shine. I'm positive most of us on here will improve, its just a matter of how quickly.

I am very affectionate, caring and considerate and am not going to let anyone say otherwise! I am going to do all I can to validate my uBPDd which is very essential for me to establish a loving relationship with her. Please take care.
