Worried about suicide

Ok - I know I have put a lot of posts on this last couple of months - but I am worried that my soon to be EXUPDW is really contemplating suicide. The other day I received this huge manifesto text about her life, her regrets, her shames, her love, etc ... . and if I knew my daughter and her sister weren't with her that night I would have considered it a suicide note. So today I get another text "delete this and don't read into this... . I feel like I don't belong anywhere" ... . Is this a cry for help, attention, or do I need to worry about her committing suicide? I will say since I have filed for divorce she has crashed... . been sick for weeks, almost anorexic, crying all the time, totally lost and helpless, the list goes on and on... . Something inside of me tells me that this is something that could happen. Or is this a common occurance after a break up?

Its difficult, because people threataning suicide in a breakup is actually quite common. However most people say it either to 'blackmail' the person leaving by making them feel bad. Again it goes back to abandonment issues. Its also as you say a cry for help. However its one of those
Ignore at your peril things.
I shamefully admit I once said it when I was around 16 when I was dumped, the girl threatened to tell my parents about it, which in turn made realise I was being stupid and immature.

Yep - I played the fool. I asked her "your not going to hurt yourself?" ... . she replied No!, never, are you crazy! What's wrong with you... . keeping me on a string like a puppet. UGH! why am I so stupid and fall for it. I gotta cut that string... . let the puppet master work on her new puppet or watch the show fall apart... . but I hate being the main act - I can't stand being this puppet anymore.
