celebrating a momentary breakthrough

well, it happened. i've been waiting for my husband to see through my eyes if only for a second. and it happened! i came home from work yesterday and the whole house was clean, all i had to do was relax. i usually have to do dishes, make dinner, and a few other things, but he took care of it. he actually said he saw through my eyes. i worked all day, i have sinus problems this week, and it's that time of month (ie, really bad cramps), and he said that if the shoe was on the other foot, someone was getting their butt kicked if i had to come home and clean up and still have stuff to do. i told him he made me so happy! i've been painted really white this week. i try to tell him i'm not perfect, but he won't listen. he's been really stressed out lately, trying not to lash out at me, and he's done great! yes, he has lapses, he can't be 'cured' all at once. but it was so gratifying to finally hear that from him and i wanted to share it. share it to show it is possible for them to consider our feelings for a moment. larger truth be told, he was avoiding me being in a bad mood. so he benefitted from doing chores i would normally do by me being in a good mood, we had a great time together, instead of me being in a bad mood. sorry if i rambled, but i'm so excited about it. (yes, i know it's temporary.)
it's possible, y'all!

That's great Crazymade. It's refreshing when they act like a normal human being, makes the harder times worth it! Well maybe not worth it but makes them more bearable. I had a similar experience last night with my husband, something must be in the air... .
I think what feels so good is that they are actually Validating our emotions, something I know my husband doesn't do very often. And it does feel good, even if it's only for a moment.
FYI Your full again

That's awesome. And yes, it does feel really refreshing when they seem to see things through our eyes. My BPD has done awesome things that have given me hope. He usually does the whole cleaning thing very often. (which is great) but unforunately it usually comes at the cost of an eposide ending. He actually seems OCD at that point. But I love the fact that he does major cleaning. So there is an upside to this afterall at times
