My gf is BPD, and we deal with the ups and downs, we have been together a year, we dont live together maybe that what allows it to work. She has gotten mad at me and the longest we havent talked was a week. If we have a spat, usually we both make up the next day, we dont care who fought it was, as soon as we speak, we both apologize, just forget whatever we had a fight about. She is the first girl, that ever had a illness that I have been with, and I don't think i've ever felt about a girl the way I feel about her. Maybe, I'm a little off, but our ups and downs, I wouldn't trade her for anything, I love her just as she is. When she is down, she never degrades me, she will do the silent treatment at times, but that is about it. After writing this, im thinking the thing that works for us, is living separately, of course we stay together on occasion at one another place, but think with our arrangement we just never have time to get on each other nerve. 1 time last month, she told me she really like what we are doing, meaning she enjoys her space and everything. Most times she will come stay the night with me, because she like me being next to her, and she will bring clothes, or get up early and go back to her place to get dressed before work. It seems living separate, maybe a great alternative to make a BPD relationship work.
