At least that is what it feels like.

I have studied BPD for two years now. I can understand what's happening and why. But my heart has yet to be in recovery mode. But I am still in the thick of things so what do I expect.

She went on a bad rage this morning. But it was directed at her teenage son (I see most BPD traits in him too) it escalated to knife wielding and suicide threats (him) to hair pulling and numerous swats with a wooden spoon and threats to call the police (her). There were bigger fireworks here than at the Disneyland show. Two pwBPD tendancys at each others throats is not a pretty sight. Restoring calm is a lesson in futility. All that can be done is let the fires burn themselves out.

All is calm this afternoon, she is even smiling and joking. Then the next instant she darkens and says she going to stay with her mom next week because she can't live with the two of us, it is just too crazy... . I guess I can chalk this one up to projection. She then got dressed nice and left.

I wonder if she is going to bring me back the Disneyland t shirt.

Well you could look at this way

She's off to fantasy land

You are here working on reality land

Hmmm... . guess it might sound like more fun in disney land but the long term results of being here will be much greater... . Smiling (click to insert in post)

We never stayed together in Disneyland; she felt at home in the Haunted House, I was always in Fantasyland, and when we did see each other it was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the Mad Tea Party.  Mickey and Minnie we weren't, much more Dumbo and Goofy.

DB33... .

another thing i really couldnt understand about pwBPD is their up and downs within hours... like yours, mine would make a massive mess or feel super depressed about something minor in the morning, make a drama out of it ,etc. bt the afternoon she would be all smiles and happiness, where i would be totally confused and down ... . as by then, i had spent already most of hte morning making her feel better... . so by the time she was all happy, i was exhausted, sad and depressed myself... .

mood swings... not taking them anymore...

man, if she is in disneyland and youare in a BPD forum, make sure you learn a lot on this forum and get some decisions done about her. either way, make sure you stand on your own feet by the time she returns from there without tshirt
