Did your exBPD lash out to strangers?

Mine did. I remember her telling me how she got super angry at old people in a garden centre, because they were moving so slow with their cart.(lack of empathy much?  ) and when we did some grocery shopping, she lashed out to a grocery clerk, because there was no ice-cream left(in fact, there was plenty left, except for the ones she wanted).

I felt so ashamed when stuff like this happened. At first i just assumed it was PMS, but I'm pretty sure it was one of her BPD traits.

no, mine  never did, she was always very nice actully over nice to strangers and friends. It was only people she was close to. Me, her son sisters Etc... .

Mine lashed out at a dog walker in the street as he was on the inside of the pavement which meant her children had to walk next to the road. She gave him both barrels and lectured him on how a childs life was more importants than his dogs.

Mine wouldn't lash out so much to people, as she would at me about the people.

Yesterday there were two people walking down the middle of our road in our neighborhood.  She started screaming at me about the people and how they needed to move.

Overall she is a bit better about this.

My xwife would be nice to strangers generally. She could be a pain in the ass to shop assistants and people like that, but that had more to do with the situation, lack of empathy, feeling of entitlement etc.

It's friends and relatives she couldn't stand.

She didn't lash out but she could be VERY rude to shop assistants etc who were just trying to help,  like extremely rude which made me uncomfortable but would then play it off as a joke and I'd think maybe I was just too sensitive.

Mine rarely lashed out at people in public, unless it was me. She's embarrassed me plenty of times.

She didn't hold back while on the phone with people from AT&T for example. It would trigger me when she told these people off. I would have an internal panic response.

Now, she would lash out at my friends though. I've lost a few good friends over her behavior and off the wall comments.

And if I tried to correct her on her behavior, I was being unsupportive and didn't have her back. I would have to do damage control inconspicuously.

I frequently had to be the undercover peace maker. I hated being in that role.
