They say BPD's don't get better with age. I think they may be the only people who are better when they get Alzheimer's disease. It's the only time in their life they can stay in the honeymoon phase each and every day.
Smile people. We are all going to be ok. Sorry for the bad joke, but I want you all to be ok. Let's not forget that life (even our weaknesses and failures) are still something we can smile at, laugh at and find the lighter side of in spite of the pain.
Gosh when I think of all the silly things I worried about with my ex, I've tried to turn my shame into humor. I can beat myself up. Psycho analyze myself to death, or I can love myself, let myself off the hook, and realize I was a nice guy, a little naive, who was trying his best to make something work that was impossible. No harm no foul, we all have learned so much. As long as we keep moving forward, we won't get stuck.
