Hey guys... .during my relationship I found hidden little notes around my room that my ex wrote... .they said stuff like, "you make me so happy," " I cherish you." Stuff like that... have you guys had this happen to you and do you think borderlines use this as a technique to convince and brainwash you to think that they are so deeply in love with you?

Yes m xBPDh did this all the time right up to a week or so before he dumped me for the replacement.  He also often left love notes on the kitchen chalkboard.  I think it was all part of his act to convince me and everyone else how sweet he was.  In fact he was a liar who didnt mean a word!

The first note like that she ever left me was in a matchbook cover and it said the date (which was about 6-8 months after we had been together) and "Still love you." Looking back I presume she was shocked she had lasted with someone that long, hence the word "Still." It would be 9 more years, and many more notes before she would end it with a typed note inside A birthday card to me. Ironic, huh? And throughout that time I would find love notes in luggage, on my desk, etc telling me how wonderful I was and how she couldn't believe her great fortune in being with me.

I wonder if her new boyfriend will read this thread someday and think "yep, she made me feel that special too."
