easy, they've set it up in their minds that you are their superhero, their everything, and they come into it with all the excitement, eagerness, and willingness to please as a child being taken to a Santa on Christmas eve, expecting every present they want will be given if only they are good enough.

The idealization phase creates a strong attachment for both the pwBPD
and non with excessive praise, mirroring, sex, and openness forms this bond; it creates a strong attachment and often both partners are unconsciously soothing complicated life long emotional wounds.

That is cruel. To not give one compliment or try and make your spouse feel good about themselves? It sounds like control to me. Maybe if she compliment you, you would feel good about yourself then someone else may look at you. Is she a jealous type?

Yes very I bar tended for a seconed job but it had to be at a mostly gay bar because she did not trust woman
