Well, what a week!  Love bombing is awesome when you are the recipient BUT "this too shall pass" always comes too quickly... .I was really hoping the new guy was not going to dig up the old guy soon... .I'm an idiot!

He has snooped my journals, email, and cell phone after boundaries are clearly set on paper so he could see them!  I caught him with my phone this morning at 4:30am while he was getting ready for work.  We had it out right then and he has been in an anxious state all day fearing I was going to pick up the divorce papers from the lawyer as I told him would happen if he kept up this disrespectful behavior.  This afternoon on the phone he indicated he felt like he needed to go into a hospital setting to get a handle on his anxiety issues and really start working on a direction since getting into DBT in our area is a very long wait.  He is meeting with a counselor this evening for the first time since realization of BPD (on his part) since June 1.  I have known about it for two years but I couldn't get up the nerve to share with him what I thought was the problem.

He is high functioning but has all 9 hallmarks of BPD and needs to get diagnosed officially.  The counselor is not a psychiatrist but a general psychologist.  Should he consider self admission to a psyche hospital?  We have a facility close.

would they take him seeing that he is high functioning and not a danger to anyone?
