I'm in a bind. My parents actually really like my BPDex and were shocked to hear about what had happened between us. We were engaged at one point and they loved it whenever she would visit. Heck, those are some of my favorite memories and is one of the main reasons we were engaged!

Anyway after the b/u I've been enforcing strict n/c. Phone is blocked (although i get ghost calls from blocked numbers) as well as social media (this one was hard because i had to let mutual friends go too). It's been about 2 weeks now and I am finally starting to heal.

Today or last night, I guess she reached out to my parents via letter. My parents just called me to give her a call... when i asked what she said in the letter, they said the ex "only had good things to say about me." Has anything like this happened to anyone?

That has to be a frustrating situation!  Can you ask them not to pass along  further messages?  Its your life, not theirs right?

Hey rotiroti,

I can understand how frustrating it is when we're cutting off all communication avenues. You're ex knows this.

It sounds like you are split white if she only has good things to say about you. Something similar happened to me, although I was split black and my ex sent an email to my mom telling her how awful I was treating the kids. Fortunately, my mom understands BPD

Beach_Babe has good advice.

How would your parents respond if you told them to bin the letters and not advise you that she's sending letters?

Thank you both!

You know my parents would support me 100% no questions asked. It's strange how all of the gas lighting and belittling makes me second guess my intuition on things like this. Thanks again (and honored the Mutt replied!)
