Hi me and my girlfriend of two years broke up and I feel like she is surrounded by an army of people that hate me.Should her therapist have suggested she move 4 hours away? This is what caused the breakup.

Agreed. If there is one thing I've learned is that this disorder/disease makes them say what they think others what to hear. This 'army' that hated you probably were told stories that made her look good and you look bad. In the long run there was probably nothing you could've done that would've helped keep this relationship moving in a positive direction if she wasn't getting proper treatment. Even with treatment every day could be a struggle. She is the victim of this disorder, not you. It's probably of little comfort but you are lucky to get out with what I hope is only a broken heart. You have a lot in front of you and maybe can see warning signs before you get in to deep with your next relationship. Hope that's not too harsh but trust me that it could've been much, much worse.

Hi GeneJ,

Are you and your GF in contact with each other? Has she already moved away, or is this something she is planning to do?

Curious, too, how the friends are communicating their feelings about you -- is it through her? Or are you experiencing their disdain directly.

We're here for you, let us know how we can help. This is hard stuff to go through alone.
