I'm looking for suggestions on how to deal with someone who is a licensed psychologist (MD) who has BPD traits.

She has been using them to influence me to the point I'm seeing a therapist to deal with her pushing my buttons.

Very difficult since she is in the field. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome Wolf Tooth:

You use the reference "licensed psychologist (MD)".  Just wanted to check my understanding.  Is this person a psychiatrist or a different type of MD, who happens to be a psychologist as well?

What is your relationship with this person, romantic, friend, etc.?

You would likely need to use the same skills that she may be using on you.  Can you share some examples of what "pushing your buttons" looks like?  This is a safe place to share.

There are a lot of links to the right of this post, and you should find some of the information helpful.  Are you familiar with some of the "Basic Tools", under the title "What is the First Step?"

We are here to listen, when you want to share more of your story.
