VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

My doctor told me about BPD today.  We discussed the stressful marriage I'm in and how it can result in health issues.  I'm beginning to think my husband has BPD.  He is so verbally abusive and withholds money from me.  I feel so unloved and alone. I like my for a loving hug or touch. My husband never touches me unless he wants sex ugh

Hi Bobbie Ann,

Welcome

I'd like to welcome you  bpdfamily. I understand how invalidating and depressing it feels when our pwBPD push us away. I use to get the silent treatment and my ex would project that I was giving her the silent treatment   What are your boundaries when he's verbally abusive? I'll ask t same question but this money, what are your boundaries? Do you have kids?

How long have you been married?  How long has your husband exhibited BPD traits?

Hey Bobbie Ann, Welcome!  In addition to verbal abuse and withholding money, what makes you think your H has BPD?  I will echo those above and ask, how long have you been married and do you have children?  Is it a second marriage for either of you?  We know what it's like in a r/s with a pwBPD, so you are not alone.
