Very grateful I found this site.   It is like a house has been lifted off my shoulders.  Will be working through the lessons.  As a healthcare professional, I was not immune to this relationship but rather I was susceptible to it.  BPD discriminates no one.   Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

I am a healthcare professional as well. And so was she! I just found this site yesterday. Hopefully I will continue to utilize this support offered. It sucks to give so much, and then be dropped when you request that we both work on the relationship. It's a betrayal and you're left asking so many questions that drag you in circles. The good moments come and then the bad ones rip through. It's progress not perfection Smiling (click to insert in post)

This site is in fact a blessing.  I really wished the general public was more educated about these personality disorders. I would prevent a lot of harm for the PD and nons.

Hi Abby2061,‎

Welcome

I'd like to join Roberto516 and mar356 and welcome you to bpdfamily. I'm glad that you have found us, it helps to talk to people that can relate with you and offer you guidance and support. I hear you with it being a huge relief to find others like you and to be able to share what you're going through with people that get it. I recall reaching out for help with family and friends and the advise that I received was good if my ex wife wasn't disordered, they meant well, I felt like I was going through an experience that was so different then everybody else. You're not alone.

How long have you been in a r/s with your pwBPD ( person with BPD ) Is your pwBPD diagnosed? Do you have kids together?

Welcome to the family! Abby and Roberto.

You guys are so right, it catches everyone and it's difficult to explain to others on the so-called outside, what it is like and what happens in relationships with the disorder. Both for the non and the BPD and their traits.

We are here together, and I hope this board and the people on it can help you.
