What is going on is "no contact" for several months. She has done this before, more than once. I guess I'm saying the door is still open but major work has to be done. I am taking very good care of myself physically, mentally and spiritually. I'm doing what I can control. My counselor even mentioned to me, and she doesn't often say it, "you don't deserve this kind of behavior". Yes, I said I'm done. I found out she didn't tell me the truth on something and it upset me. It has been a major roller coaster ride of emotions.

It's good that you are taking care of yourself. That is extremely important.

I agree with your counselor. None of us deserve to be treated poorly. Has your therapist given you any ideas on how to stop that from happening?

Where are you now, emotionally, with all of this?

My counselor is helping me gain clarity. She sees me as climbing out of the dark hole I was in. I'm finding myself and getting stronger as a person. On the other hand, based on my honest answers, my counselor sees my wife and her enabling mother as very unconnected with reality.
Emotionally I'm stronger as well. Our attorneys are working on a settlement as well. My attorney portrays my wife as a very spoiled person, selfish as well. Something dark happened in their lives somewhere and I'll probably never know the answer.
I am strong enough now to day I don't want my wife back unless a miracle happens. There is too much broken and until now anyway, she has no desire to be a better person, instead she chooses to blame others for her faults. A very sad way to live in my books.
