Something, multiple somethings, have passed!  (my husband has in the past year, in addition to being diagnosed with diabetes, has started getting kidney stones.  He has had the same batch working through him for about a month, now)

We are still going to imaging this week and a follow up next, but his mood has improved so much in just a few hours, wow.  Mine has, too, to be honest.  We were both scared of surgery - him about the surgery, me about his emotions before, during, and after the surgery, plus $$ for it.

I've felt the last few weeks like he's been edging back to the him of years back, and it was scaring me so much, I no longer feel I have the "bounce-back" to handle the him of years back.  Even knowing a lot was tied to his physical pain and discomfort, made it hard to always remember to be empathetic, validate, and ignore the constant negativity.

So, yayz, that's my good news for today.  Now, if we can get the stones typed, we can see if diet modifications can help prevent them.

Hey,

That’s great! I’m sure my SO’s chronic pain issues, and long, expensive search to resolve them, also added to his difficult moods too. It’s hard because you can’t see it. This is a good reminder to take all factors into account!

Glad to hear about this improvement!

wishing you the best, pearl.

I am glad to hear that your and your husband's burdens have lightened in at least one area!
