no. if this were true our exes would be cured. relationships wouldnt take effort to repair when theyre damaged.

time just lessens the intensity of the immediate sting. the wound, without work and effort and a good "cast" (as in a broken bone) will fester, and can carry into future relationships.

That’s true, very valid point. Sometimes it just gets hard making the right choice. I know what needs to be done, but sometimes I feel like I’m having a hard time letting go, and these episodes of her calling out of the blue is one that should be avoided. I know she doesn’t have manipulative intentions, but I just don’t want to in the middle anymore. I know how it feels to have to compete in a relationship, and no one should have to go through that. I really do hope things get better and I can slowly reach no contact like I did initially.
