One thing my counselor suggested to me when I was meeting with my H after I'd temporarily left: She suggested that I have someone who knew where I was and what my plans were. I was to text this person at a pre-arranged time to let them know if things were fine. Then I was to text when I was leaving (I'd told my H what time I planned to leave). If the person didn't hear from me either time, she and her husband would come in person to check on things.
I did that and turned out it wasn't necessary, but I felt more secure going in.
I'm not trying to scare you. But sometimes, especially in highly emotional situations, things can get out of hand before we're really aware it's happening. It's always good to err on the side of safety.
Please let us know how it goes and best wishes to you.

Evening went well no heated rows, but did feel a bit weird i had a hunch he could be seeing someone else so i asked the question. Reply i did message an old friend because i needed to speak to someone about our situation. The friend told him as he was married she didnt want to meet up and she didnt want to get hurt. It did make me feel a bit like second best but continued to stay calm and enjoy the evening, maybe he is scared of being on his own now . Only time will tell as we now tomorrow is another day.
