How to communicate after a contentious divorce... Following a contentious divorce and custody battle, there are often high emotion and tensions between the parents. Research shows that constant and chronic conflict between the parents negatively impacts the children. The children sense their parents anxiety in their voice, their body language and their parents behavior. Here are some suggestions from Dean Stacer on how to avoid conflict.

Hi,

I would like to start a thread about taking personal inventory, but I cannot find the workshop/skills section about this. Could someone please point me to it?

Thanks

What inventory do you mean exactly? Like what kind of subject?

Hi lichtermeer,

So basically, there are many tools, workshops, and recommended 'skills' saved on this website. You can find them all in the top three threads on the detaching board, where for example the processes of abandonment or detachment are explained, or BPD behaviours are explained, or common questions/problems of ex partners are discussed or worked out.

One stage or part of detaching is called 'taking personal inventory', and I was hoping there was a skills page for that, and I was wondering if an advanced member or ambassador who has already done 'taking personal inventory' could point me to the right page, as I can't find it with either a Google search or on the skills lists.

Best wishes

This was in the lonely child thread.  It is an Excel spreadsheet but is one method to do a personal inventory.  I came across this somewhere else on the site too Poppy.  I don't know if you're still looking for this.

Excerpt
To find out what your Schemas are: go to the Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ)  https://bpdfamily.com/pdfs/schema_inventory.xls

This is an excellent personal inventory test to take - 124 questions - you can print it out and score yourself.  This gets at all the schemas, not just the lonely child.--Skip
