Hi everyone. I participated in this forum last year when I suspected that my wife had BPD because the most obvious and disruptive symptom was extreme emotional dysregulation - major meltdowns, screaming, throwing things, destroying loved possessions, self-harm, cruel speech, etc. As we explored BPD more we came across other diagnoses which involved emotional dysregulation, such as ADHD and Autism (e.g.

I just wanted to share this for people who may be in a similar situation and hadn't considered that it may not be BPD but something else, and also to take a moment to say thank you to everyone here - I found it to be a very supportive community when I was in need, regardless of the exact problem I was struggling with!
