My wife was diagnosed BPD about 2.5 years ago. With a combination of therapy and supervised medication she has come a long way.  She has been in recovery for 23 years and always seeing a therapist for the 23 years, she is 49 now to which we have been married together for 19 years. This diagnosis was a shock to her, but I saw a big difference in her overall emotional improvement since the diagnosis.  Prior to BPD, I was used to her “Catastrophezing” events.  But since proper treatment she was a much better individual.  Lately though, she is back to that place of events around us are a catastrophe and we (our relationship) is sinking.  We agree to couples therapy, but I feel that the narrative will be lost.  What can I do ?

Hi Radeee,  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

Welcome

Thanks for joining our group. You'll find a lot of members that can relate to you and can offer you guidance and support. BPD behaviours exacerbate during stressful periods. Are there any particular stressors currently that could be making the behaviours worse? Maybe it's the pandemic? Is there anything that you can think of?
