A typical suggestion here is that therapy is highly recommended, since her emotions with the family are so elevated. A trusted therapist can potentially work wonders if only she would listen and apply the counsel in her perceptions and life. That is an immense task for a person with BPD traits (pwBPD) since the unstable emotions, intense blaming and blame shifting are difficult to overcome.
Thanks. She has a therapist, and some family members have interacted with the therapist, but the therapist seems (almost bewilderingly) oblivious to how serious and abusive and concerning her behavior has been. She seems to approach her like a "regular" client. It is incredibly frustrating.
