too wrapped up in BPD

I think I'm going to back off the board for a while. I'm finding that I'm too consumed with BPD and not doing what I need to care for myself. Not that I don't care about all of you wonderful folks who have been so kind and encouraging, but reading about all the "issues" isn't helping me at the moment~~it's a bit depressing to be honest. I need to get my happy on and that means less focus on BPD and more focus on the beauty of life. I'll check in now and again, but right now... . less is more.

It is sometimes too easy to get caught up in the negative, isn't it? Good for you for knowing when to take a mental health break.
Hope to still see you around occasionally - thanks for all your support here!

It seems codependency is such a prevalent problem with non-BPD people involved with others who are BPD that it is always important to remember what makes you happy at the end of the day. I have acknowledged about myself that I am a codependent in my relationship with my BPD fiance, and it is hard as hell to keep my mind straight. It is a constant battle to remember I can't control anything but myself and my own life. Remembering to take care of myself without feeling guilty that i'm being selfish or feeling as if other people see me as selfish is a huge hurdle.
I am glad you are taking the steps necessary to makes yourself happy. Sometimes you forget how after being enmeshed for so long in someone else's problems.

I can totally relate. In fact, when I mentioned my surprise to my pwBPD's latest revelation, I stated I would just go back to living in my "happy little bubble of love"
Good luck to you! <3
